Charcoal and Charcoal Byproducts

One of the newly emerging industries is the production of Bamboo Charcoal. The waste produced during the manufacturing process, saw dust, scraps, off cuts, can be produced into charcoal briquettes. These bricks can be used as fuel, as odor absorbers in various forms, or as filters for water purification. In the process of making charcoal one of the by products is a liquid smoke referred to as bamboo vinegar. Like wood vinegar, this solution can be used to make soap, and is the base for many cosmetic products produced in Asia. These products have natural whitening properties which has added marketability in this demographic.
